“Europe Books” is the beginning of a Global Book Market

Europe Books bet on a formula that is boldly atypical for a sector that is rarely open to innovation. It aims at offering the writers a stage that is no longer limited within national borders, but that extends to many European Countries. The challenge – which proved to be successful – is even more intriguing, because it addresses both famous and emerging authors.

Europe Books, Europa Edizioni, Europe Livres, Europa Ediciones, and Europa Editorial are just a few of the names identifying Europa Publishing House in different parts of the world. By choosing to adapt to the languages of the host countries – rather than preserving the brand’s original name – the project expresses its fundamental goal, which is to cross national borders without losing the literary identity of each Work.

Italy, Spain, England, Germany, France, Portugal, and Russia (in order of establishment) are the Countries hosting our branches in their Capitals. And yet, the distribution of the works is not limited to these Countries, because thanks to a widespread international network – which embodies the project’s innovative vision – all the Works, including the emerging authors’ ones, are promoted through the main international book fairs in London, Frankfurt, Barcelona, Turin, Moscow, and New York. During these important events, Europa’s agents have the opportunity to “export” their catalogue.

Our objectives, however, go beyond the exportation of our books, and oftentimes our agents working at the fairs get to know interesting international works that might be published by Europe Books, like Ahora hagan sus preguntas by Pope Francis, which is having a huge success in Spain and other countries.

The distribution plan is the same for all our authors, and it is impressive if we look at it from the point of view of traditional publishing industry. The Publishing House’s distribution network is one of the widest in the world and includes the UK, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Russia, and Portugal in Europe, while the Unites States, Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Uruguay, and Ecuador are the destinations overseas. It is a network made of tens of thousands of bookstores, allowing our books to travel the world, both in their paper and eBook versions.

However, despite its international attitude, Europe Books pays great attention to the national markets, especially because the international journey of our works starts from the Countries where they are first published. After all, the success of Europe Books is due to the intense promotional activity – including book fairs and other events – carried out within the national borders, which makes more and more readers and authors fall in love with the Publishing House.
